Lectionary Readings, Year C
Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany

Scripture Readings from the Revised Common Lectionary

The Church Year begins with Advent in November/December.
This is YEAR A of readings in the Revised Common Lectionary.

The date of Easter is variable between March 22 and April 25.  As a result, the number of Sundays in Epiphany varies between 6 and 10; when Easter occurs early, some Sundays of Epiphany are not used. The dates given here are the range of dates on which the Sundays can fall.

Usually, the Psalm readings are from the Old Testament Book of Psalms. However, in some cases, for example during Advent, the  Psalm reading is a responsorial reading from the New Testament or another biblical book.  For a few Sundays During the Easter Season, the Old Testament readings are replaced with readings from the Book of Acts.
